The problem

Help your people become more comfortable and effective when everything keeps changing.

Client demands shift, technology moves, and AI redefines roles. Knowing that change is necessary does not automatically make a team ready for it.

This workshop unpacks why people resist change and gives your team a practical toolkit for flexible thinking, faster recovery and confident decisions under uncertainty.

Who this is for

Designed for employees navigating constant shifts, disruptions, and uncertainty

Leaders & department heads steering teams through shifting client demands, AI disruptions, and evolving agency business models.

Creatives, strategists, and account leads held back by rigid workflows, comfort zones, or friction when plans suddenly change.

High-performing teams needing the cognitive flexibility and resilience to respond quickly, experiment boldly, and thrive under pressure.

Working with fewer than 5 people? One-to-one coaching gives individual attention on the same themes.

What we'll cover

Six modules, grounded in psychology

01The psychology of change
  • Why humans naturally resist change
  • The brain's preference for predictability
  • Uncertainty versus perceived threat
  • Loss aversion
  • Habit and behavioural inertia
  • Why knowing that change is necessary doesn't automatically make us ready for it
  • Developing mental flexibility and a growth mindset
02The Pace of Change

Explore the difference between:

  • Change
  • Accelerated change
  • Discontinuous change
  • Constant change
  • And what this means psychologically for individuals and teams.
03What does adaptability actually mean?

Break adaptability into observable skills:

  • Cognitive flexibility
  • Emotional regulation
  • Curiosity
  • Learning agility
  • Reframing
  • Experimentation
  • Decision-making under uncertainty
  • Letting go of outdated assumptions
  • Recovering from setbacks
  • Moving from certainty-seeking to possibility-seeking
04The psychology of adaptability

Explore concepts such as:

  • Fixed versus flexible thinking
  • Cognitive flexibility
  • Psychological safety
  • Growth mindset
  • Habit formation
  • The role of identity in resistance to change
  • Why expertise can sometimes make adaptation harder
  • The difference between “I can't do this” and “I can't do this yet”
05Practical techniques to become more adaptable

Leave with a toolkit of techniques, such as:

  • Reframing uncertainty
  • The “What else could be true?” technique
  • Perspective switching
  • Deliberate exposure to small changes
  • Breaking automatic habits
  • Rapid experimentation
  • Scenario thinking
  • After-action reviews
  • “Test rather than debate”
  • Separating facts, assumptions and interpretations
  • Moving from problem-focused to possibility-focused thinking
06Applying adaptability in an agency environment

Practical scenarios could include:

  • A major client changing direction
  • Losing a pitch
  • A new technology disrupting an established workflow
  • AI changing roles and responsibilities
  • A new client expectation
  • A restructure
  • A difficult stakeholder
  • A campaign not performing as expected

FAQ

Questions decision-makers ask

How long is the workshop?

It is an 8-hour workshop. You can take it as one full day, two half-days, 2 hours a week over 4 weeks, or a custom schedule.

Can it be tailored to our team?

Yes. Every workshop starts with a scoping call so examples, scenarios and emphasis reflect your industry, your people and the challenges they face.

How many people can attend?

We run it for large departmental and cross-team groups as well as smaller teams. For fewer than 5 people, we usually recommend one-to-one coaching instead.

Where is it delivered?

On-site at your offices, at a venue of your choice in Malta, or across Europe. Online options can be discussed on the scoping call.

What happens after I enquire?

A member of our team gets in touch to book a short scoping call. We then send a tailored proposal, and once agreed, schedule delivery around your calendar.

What are the outcomes?

Participants leave understanding why change feels threatening, with a shared language for adaptability and a toolkit of techniques — reframing, perspective switching, rapid experimentation and after-action reviews — they can apply the next time plans change.
